Making Up For It...

The nurse jinxed me!

At my last appointment I had gained no weight in two weeks. The nurse remarked that she didn't understand how women like me could not gain a single pound for two weeks straight at this stage of their pregnancy. She then said, "Well, you'll make up for it next time."

Guess what.... I'm making up for it!!! Six pounds in two weeks and still four days until my next appointment! Thanks a lot...

I've increased my weight gain by 2/3 in the last two weeks alone. Up until my 31 week appointment, I had only gained a total of 9 pounds. At 33 weeks, I am up by a total of 15. I am praying that half of what I have gained these past two weeks is just water weight that doesn't seem to want to go away. However, my hopes are not high because I know that my appetite has been out of control lately and I have been a bit of a carb fiend. I'm pretty sure these pounds are here to stay. Joy...

Now I am terrified that this shocking increase in weight gain is here to stay and will become a trend for the next seven weeks of my pregnancy. I do not want to gain another 15 pounds before the end of this!

Ugh. :(
